GUTHRIE DOUGLAS & HUNTER DOUGLAS ANNOUNCE EXCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIP IN THE MIDDLE EAST
The past few years have seen significant growth in demand for technical shading products in the Middle East region, with automated roller blinds now playing a key role in mitigating heat gain and glare for almost all new projects, and no longer seen just as part of the interior design.
Following the delivery of a number of iconic projects such as Bee’ah Headquarters in Sharjah, One Za’beel in Dubai, and many others in Qatar, Kuwait, KSA and Jordan; Guthrie Douglas Group and Hunter Douglas Middle East have established a joint venture to offer technical shading solutions to the Architecture & Design community in the region, including an exclusive distribution agreement and the appointment of Safa Nias as Project Consultant, based in Dubai.
Safa brings 15+ years of experience in the architectural products industry and has been instrumental in delivering shading and control solutions for key projects in the Middle East including Marina Bloom Hotel & Residence, Abu Dhabi and the Peninsula Hotel, Istanbul. He will take the lead in specifying technical shading solutions for the next generation of projects in the region, further strengthening the market-leading position held by Hunter Douglas and Guthrie Douglas in delivering complex shading projects for forward looking architecture.
