We are looking for a commercially aware Project Consultant to develop and manage project specifications across the UK construction market. In this role, you will work closely with architects, façade engineers and contractors to ensure Guthrie Douglas shading systems are considered, specified and delivered on major building projects.
This is a relationship-led role focused on guiding projects from early concept through to completion. You will combine technical understanding with clear communication and practical problem solving, helping designers and project teams arrive at solutions that perform both technically and commercially.
What you’ll be doing
Specification Development: Engage with architects, façade engineers and contractors to introduce and specify Guthrie Douglas systems on new construction projects.
Pipeline Management: Create and maintain a strong project pipeline, tracking opportunities from initial concept through specification, tender and order stage.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key specifiers, industry stakeholders and delivery partners across the UK construction market.
Technical Consultation: Provide technical advice to designers and project teams at all stages of a project. This may include reviewing façade performance, mechanical requirements, aesthetic considerations and control systems.
Project Coordination: Work closely with internal sales, technical and marketing teams to ensure projects are accurately tracked, quoted and delivered.
Market Development: Develop and deliver a clear business plan aligned with the company’s sales strategy for the UK specification market.
Industry Engagement: Represent the business at presentations, training sessions, industry events and exhibitions, helping to strengthen relationships and build awareness within the sector.
Order Support: Review technical and commercial details of project orders, ensuring all information is complete and accurate to support a smooth handover to delivery teams.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
Experience in specification sales within building products, façade systems, solar shading or a closely related industry.
Experience working with architects, façade engineers, contractors or consultants within the construction sector.
A proven track record of developing project opportunities and converting specifications into orders.
Technical understanding
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Understanding of building envelope construction, materials and façade systems.
Familiarity with construction project processes from early design through to project delivery.
Skills
- Strong commercial awareness and practical decision making.
- Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication.
- Ability to build trusted relationships across a wide range of industry stakeholders.

We are looking for a highly organised Sales Order Processor to join our Operations team in Warwick. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer orders from receipt through to production, ensuring information is accurate, schedules are maintained, and delivery expectations are clear.
Working closely with colleagues across Sales, Production and Purchasing, you will help ensure orders move smoothly through the business. Attention to detail and clear communication are essential, as the accuracy of your work supports both efficient production and reliable customer delivery.
What you’ll be doing
Order Processing: Process customer sales orders accurately and schedule them in line with supplier lead times, production capacity and customer requirements.
Production Scheduling: Update and maintain production schedules to ensure orders progress through the factory efficiently.
Stock & Sub-assembly Control: Monitor stock and sub-assembly levels, helping to ensure materials and components are available when needed.
